This week with the Westland Area Jaycees
Good day all!
I hope that things are well with everyone. I am preparing myself for my shift this evening at World Expo of Beer with the Frankenmuth Jaycees. Still debating if I will be camping out with my Jaycee family this evening. For those who have already volunteered last evening and are still to head out for tonight’s double earning shift – THANK YOU! This is a great way to support or fellow chapters as well as earn a few bucks for our own. If you’d like more information about World Expo of Beer, check it out here:
This has been a pretty busy last few weeks! Last weekend on Mackinac Island was our 1st Trimester Leadership Conference. Those who were able to attend participated in a variety of trainings and fellowship. If you were so inclined, as I was, you also have a few extra activities to participate in on the island, including a Haunted Tour or Carriage rides. I must say, the Haunted Tour was really fun.
One of the great things that happens during Leadership Conference is the Awards Ceremony for our accomplishments so far. We had quite a few competitors for this trimester and I am soo very thankful and proud of ALL of them. A few of the awards and acknowledgements are listed below:
Local Award Winners:
Our National Awards Winners for Year End 2015
Congrats again to all of our winners!!
Now for what’s coming up on our calendar! So much to look forward to as we head into the warmer time of our Michigan calendar. Here are some of the things to look forward to over the next few weeks and months.

It has been a great start to 2016 and I can’t wait to see what we keep doing for our community for the rest of this year.
My quote of the week:
Thank you all again for your hard work and dedication. You ALL are why we are kind of a big deal.
